"Whatever he does shall prosper - Psalm 1:3b"
[Bible Portion - Psalm 1: 1-3]
Do you want whatever you do to prosper? The following
conditions to be fulfilled.
Shouldn't have these (v1):
1) Walks not in the counsel of the ungodly
2) Stands not in the path of sinners
3) Sits not in the seat of the scornful
Ungodly --> Sinners --> Scornful - Increasing in
nature
Walks --> Stands --> Sits --> Increasing loyalty
Should have these (v2,3):
1) Delight is in the law of the Lord
2) Meditates in His law day and night
3) Brings forth fruit in its season
What should I do for whatever I do to prosper in this new
year?
1) Should pray daily - according to His will.
You do not have because you do not ask (James 4:2).
You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you
may spend it on your pleasures (James 4:3).
2) Should seek Him daily.
As long as he (Uzziah) sought the Lord, God made him prosper
(2 Chronicles 26:5b).
For the shepherds have become dull-hearted, And have not
sought the Lord;
Therefore they shall not prosper, And all their flocks shall
be scattered (Jeremiah 10:21).
3) Should obey His commandments daily.
Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that
you may prosper in all that you do (Deuteronomy 29:9).
He (Uzziah) did what was right in the sight of the Lord,
according to all that his father Amaziah had done (2 Chronicles 26:4).
And Moses said, “Now why do you transgress the command of
the Lord? For this will not succeed (Numbers 14:41).
I wish that whatever you do shall prosper in this 2016, by
fulfilling above conditions.
